The Tails of Dylan – Honest Reviews, Always
Our Commitment to Honesty
The Tails of Dylan was built on one simple principle – honest reviews only. Dylan sniffs out the good stuff and tells it like it is. No sneaky advertising, no paid opinions, no wagging our tail for brands we don’t believe in.
But in the spirit of full transparency (and because UK law requires it), here’s everything you need to know about how we work with brands and earn from the blog.
Affiliate Links
Some posts on this blog contain affiliate links. This means that if you click on a link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission – at absolutely no extra cost to you.
Affiliate links will always be clearly marked in posts with a statement such as:
“This post contains affiliate links. If you purchase through these links Dylan may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.”
We only ever include affiliate links for products, places and services that Dylan has genuinely used and recommends. Our opinions are always our own – a commission never influences what we say.
Gifted Products and Sponsored Stays
Occasionally we may receive products, services or stays free of charge in exchange for an honest review. Where this is the case it will always be clearly disclosed at the top of the relevant post with a label such as “AD”, “Gifted” or “Press Trip” in accordance with ASA and CAP Code guidelines.
A gifted product or complimentary stay never guarantees a positive review. Dylan calls it as he sniffs it – always.
Brand Partnerships
Where posts are paid partnerships or sponsored content, this will be clearly labelled as “AD” or “Sponsored” at the very beginning of the post, in accordance with UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) requirements.
What This Means for You
- You never pay more by using our affiliate links
- Our recommendations are always genuine
- Sponsored content is always clearly labelled
- We never promote anything we wouldn’t personally recommend to a fellow furiend
